A: Oakwood is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It opened on 23rd May 1987.

A: Yes. Oakwood is owned by Managing Director, Patrick McNamara and is a private limited company.

A: There are 40 full time employees and 300 seasonal employees.
Q: How does the organisational structure work?
A: Oakwood is run year round by a dedicated team of 40 full time employees supplemented by 300 seasonal staff from April – October. The company has a very flat organisational structure headed up by the Managing Director with eight heads of departments reporting directly into him; Operations, Training and Health and Safety, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Entertainments, Catering and Retail. All other members of full time and seasonal staff report into the heads of department. The structure of the seasonal staff is also very flat with Assistants under the guidance of Supervisors but all responsible to the heads of departments.
