Ride Supervisors
Reporting to the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for operating and supervising Oakwood’s rides, with particular attention to visitor and staff safety. Your ability to manage and motivate a team will be essential to the smooth and efficient running of the park. You must be friendly and helpful – while assertive enough to ensure that all your directions are carried out. You will provide an important link between the Ride Assistants and Management.

Ride Assistants
Responsible to the Rides Supervisor your job is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of Oakwood’s rides. Rides Assistants are often the first point of contact with visitors to Oakwood so you will need to be helpful, friendly, courteous and able to carry out instructions from your supervisor in a positive manner.

Entertainments Department
Oakwood runs a number of events throughout the season culminating in our Summer spectacular After Dark. We need enthusiastic staff to help with the smooth running of all our events.
Magic Factory Host
Responsible to the Duty Manager and Entertainments Manager, it will be your job to entertain Oakwood guests, mainly families, with an memorable and, more importantly, magical experience! Your magnetic personality, excellent people skills and fun filled, friendly nature will make you a natural for the job. You will also be responsible for the safety of guests in the Magic Factory and other attractions.

Lighting Assistant (mid July – end August only)
Responsible to the Entertainments Manager you will be required to operate the pre-programmed lighting desk for Oakwood’s indoor and outdoor shows during the After Dark event. Previous stage lighting experience will be an advantage.

Catering Supervisors
Reporting to the Catering Duty Manager and all Senior Supervisors you will be responsible for running your catering outlet efficiently and complying with all of Oakwood’s hygiene rules and regulations. Your relationship with your staff will be vital in the good organisation of the department. You will need to be helpful and communicative, whilst ensuring your instructions are carried out. You will treat visitors courteously and with respect. The Catering Supervisor is an important link between the Catering Assistants and Management.

Retail Department
Oakwood is always on the look out for staff to ensure the efficient and friendly running of its seven retail outlets.
Retail Supervisors
Reporting to the Retail Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the retail outlet within Oakwood. Liaising with the Retail Manager, you will ensure the outlets run efficiently and that staff morale is high.

Security
Security is of vital importance to ensure a safe and relaxing environment for our visitors and Oakwood needs people to join our Security team.
Security Officer
Reporting to the Security Manager you’ll be responsible for crime prevention and the protection of visitors and property within the park. You will be required to deal with anyone suspected of, or caught committing a criminal offence in a professional manner and according to the law. You will need to liaise closely with Duty Managers and seek advice when necessary, to ensure that incidents are dealt with quietly and with the minimum of fuss. You will need to remain calm and courteous, no matter what the provocation. Please note you must be registered with the Security Industries Authority (SIA) to apply for this post. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will provide an efficient and courteous service to our visitors and help ensure a speedy entrance into the Park. You will often be the first person to greet our visitors so you will need to be polite, caring and understanding at all times.

Set in 80 acres of beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside we are looking for staff to help maintain the park grounds to our high standards.

Distribution Officer
Help bring visitors to the park by delivering leaflets to hoilday sites and tourist information centres across South Wales. Reporting to the marketing manager you will be representing Oakwood to business throughout South Wales which very kindly display advertising material for the park. Assistant Catering Manager
A challenging position has become available in Oakwood’s Catering department.
Reporting to the Catering Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the running of our 10 Catering outlets.
This is an exciting position encompassing culinary skills, food hygiene, business acumen, technical understanding of equipment and a high degree of man management skills at all levels. A willingness to work as part of a committed team with an understanding and acceptance that a ‘hands on’ approach is essential to ensure throughput of products whilst maintaining Oakwood’s high standards.
Relevant Catering qualifications or experience in a related role would be ideal.

Stores Person
Reporting to the Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate levels of stock are available for the efficient running of our outlets. This will need to be carried out in accordance with health and hygiene regulations.
Good communication skills are essential as you will be representing Oakwood when dealing with suppliers.
Microsoft Excel and good writing skills would be an advantage as well as having a full driving license.
